Abstract

Publishing your papers in peer-reviewed journals is an essential step on the ladder to success. Scholarly papers reflect the quality and activity of your scientific work. Publishing activity contributes to an individual’s and his/her institution’s growth. There should be universal practices or publication ethics to be followed to ensure that scientific integrity is maintained. This article highlights common moral issues in publication and provides suggestions on how to avoid scientific misconduct

La publicación de artículos en revistas con revisión por pares es un paso esencial en la escalera del éxito. Los artículos académicos reflejan la calidad y la actividad del trabajo científico. La actividad editorial contribuye al crecimiento individual e institucional. Debería haber prácticas universales o ética de la publicación que se deben seguir para asegurar que se mantenga la integridad científica. En este artículo se destacan los aspectos morales comunes de las publicaciones y ofrece sugerencias sobre cómo evitar la mala conducta científica
